KUAB Falling Weight Deflectometer 70SPGE
KUAB Falling Weight Deflectometer 70SPGE is a device performing dynamic plate loading tests with falling weight as the force generator. The peak load, the rise time and the shape of the impact simulate heavy truck traffic load. This load is then transferred to the pavement surface by a flexible load distributing “loading plate” giving a uniform and reproducible stress distribution. Seismic deflection transducers are provided for accurately measuring the shape of deflection basin. This FWD also measures the test point position, air temperature, interior pavement temperature and pavement surface temperature. The readings through sensors are fed to a built-in computer with a specialized software for analysis and interpretation of data about the serviceability of the pavement for truck traffic. KUAB 70SPGE VMFWD is integrated in an Isuzu D Max Single Cabin with the vehicle forming a complete self supporting unit.
